About the work:

The Self-Avoidance Series was born out of the feelings of self-disconnection and isolation felt during the pandemic. During the early months of Covid-19, I committed myself to mask production, effectively turning my home into a small batch factory. The 2D paintings were my first attempts at line making during the pandemic, and they like me, were having trouble connecting to one another. I’d lost communication with myself; these lines are an attempt to self-reconnect.
